Step One: It is recommended on receipt of the Cleenbore SACS kit, and prior to firing, the external surfaces and working parts of the firearm are thoroughly cleaned and lubricated in accordance with these instructions with the included sample of Firepower FP-10 to apply a protective lubricant layer to all surfaces, including the bore. This will make future removal of carbon, lead and copper fouling quicker and easier. In cases of firearms that have severe corrosion or heavy copper fouling Cleenbore recommends the use of Cleenbore Advanced De-Coppering and Conditioning (ADACS) solution which is available separately from dealers.
